Good job! I am glad that you are using the Internet to speak about these issues!

Liberal Christians like to try to twist the intent and meaning of Christianity's social teachings to further their political agenda. This is not anything new. We may not agree 100% theologically speaking, but I agree that bringing Jesus into the debate over the Wall Street protests and suggesting that he would support the protests is ridiculous. Jesus was very concerned about the forgotten, the lost, and the poor. However, his concern for the poor was not politically motivated. Also, I find it very hard to believe that the true motives of most of these protesters is to look out for the best interests of the poor and less fortunate. Vilifying the people who create jobs and become successful through hard work hardly seems like a solution to the difficulties facing the poor. Nor does it seem very Christian in my view. This is not to say that there are not problems with Wall Street and how they run business, but it seems to me that these protests are doing much more harm than good. In the chance that some protesters truly are concerned about the poor, they are going about it in a terribly wrong way in my opinion.
